Box Build

Many of NPI’s customers are OEM manufacturers who need a contract manufacturer for a box build final assembly of their products. This type of contract manufacturing allows you to reduce your overheads and simplifies your purchasing process.

We can take responsibility and manage all aspects of the process from component procurements and the related stock management.  The box build process will be done strictly in accordance with your specific requirements through the PCB assembly to your full box assembly, testing, packaging and dispatch.

Our box build service can range from a simple enclosure of a PCB within two plastic mouldings to complex box assemblies with multiple components. We can process any physical size and any complexity with testing and burn in offered as an optional add-on. Finally we can package your product in your free issued packaging or we can design and supply bespoke packaging as appropriate followed by despatch to your nominated warehouses, own premises, next vendor or final customer as required.

What is box build?

Box-build is a term used to describe assembly work other than printed circuit board (PCB) production. The assembly process involves enclosure fabrication, installation of subassembly parts and components, and routing of cabling or wire harnesses.

Box-Build assembly commonly refers to the complete assembly of the finished product. Assembly of boxes typically includes fitting of boards into housings, drilling (for duct fittings) and mounting and assembly of terminals, fuses and printed-circuit boards, and installation and/or termination of connectors and harnesses for core wiring systems
