How often do your components rise up or topple during wave? Let NPI solutions solve your component seating problems. We stock weights for most common pin headers, ranging from single pin up.
We can also manufacture non-standard items as requested. Weights are manufactured from brass and are supplied in packs of twenty.

How often do your operators complain when hand-pressing components?
We stock placement tools for most common pin headers and connectors ranging from single pin up. We can also manufacture non-standard items as requested.
Hand tools are manufactured from anodised aluminium and can be supplied in different colours to identify different components.

A fixture which will hold process carriers or bare cards vertical to enable simple operations to be completed without the risk of damage.

The application of conformal coating (dielectric) is usually done via a spraying process. The card requires support during the process to ensure an even application and needs to be frequently tuned in a number of directions to gain access to the spray. A conformal coat jig allows cards to be manipulated at all angles while giving protection from accidental damage. It enables odd-shaped cards to be processed with ease. The largest benefit can be gained when the jig also masks components or areas, which are to be free from coating. Masking of large cards can be reduced from hours to a matter of seconds. Payback can be dramatic.

Sometimes a pneumatic press proves to be a superior option to a hand press for repeatability on common fitted components or for difficult insertion pressures. These presses can be further enhanced with sliding load tables and safety features. Guarding can be done with clear acrylic to enable unrestricted vision.

Cards can be routed to avoid card and component stresses when removing break edges or separating images. To prevent bottom side components from being knocked off and to hold cards and scrap areas in position during the process, a dedicated route support fixture is essential. The fixture can also be adapted to allow dust extraction, keeping the product and area free from contamination.

Extracting multi-pin components from their interfaces can be difficult, resulting in bent pins rendering the component beyond use. We are able to offer many different solutions for this type of problem, the simplest being a hand-operated screw extraction tool (as shown). This enables a controlled pressure to be applied, giving perfect components every time, while also satisfying health and safety concerns.
